I am an American Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been living in the Netherlands since 1997 and working in private practice throughout that time. Prior to relocating to Holland, I had a private practice in Chicago, Illinois and worked full time at Cook County Hospital. Along with my American license, I have been BIG-certified as a Health Psychologist (Gezondheidszorg psycholoog) in the Netherlands and have received my EuroPsy certification, which is provided through the European Federation of Psychologists Association.

While I have been able to acquire Dutch as a second language over the years, my practice is focused on the international community around Den Haag and I conduct therapy sessions solely in English. Having relocated to the Netherlands myself, I feel well acquainted with the issues that arise after such a life transition. I generally see adolescents above the age of 10 and adults in my practice and offer individual and couples therapy. Family therapy sessions can be held as an adjunct to working with teenagers but not as ongoing therapy.

Along with the impact of expatriation and other transitions, I see clients in my private practice in Wassenaar who are struggling with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety and panic attacks, work stress, marital issues, sexual orientation issues (gay and straight), ADHD, and teenagers/parenting issues just to name a few. I enjoy working closely with the international schools in the area to provide feedback and to contribute to a comprehensive approach to helping students who are new to the school or are struggling academically.
